Tiffin, OH - Joseph Daniel Autullo, 87, passed into eternal life October 10, 2012 in Charleston, SC.
He was born March 19, 1925 in Tiffin, Ohio. He was the loving husband of Regina Ruth Autullo. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Joseph was a veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He served as a tank crewman in the D-Day invasion of Normandy and also the Battle of the Bulge.
He married Regina Ruth Nigh September 4, 1981 in Tiffin, Ohio. He retired from the American Standard where he was employed as a technician.
Joseph lived in Ocala, Florida for 22 years where he was an avid golfer and a volunteer at Pine Oaks Golf Course. He was an active member of the VFW and in April, 2012 participated in the Veterans "honor Flight" trip to Washington D.C. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Eagles and the Moose.
Joseph is survived by wife, Regina; brother, Mike Autullo (Ruth) of Tiffin; sister-in-law, Betty Autullo of Fremont and daughter, Kathleen. Also surviving are two sons-in-law, Terry Nigh (Sharon) of Pemberville, Ohio and Larry Nigh (Cynthia) of Charleston, SC; daughter-in-law, Vickie Miller of Tiffin, Ohio; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with military honors.
