Dunnellon - Nicholas Michael Bello passed away early Tuesday morning November 13, 2012 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Born in Amsterdam, NY, on July 25th 1923. He resided in Dunnellon nine years with his wife Phyllis. Originally from Hauppauge, L.I., New York. He retired to PA for 14 years. A U.S. veteran, he served as Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. A business entrepreneur, he retired as an Electronic Communications Engineer with Motorola and GE.
The son of Mary Del Buono and Dominic Bello, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis Bello; five children, Pamela (John) Lawler, Mark (Fay Thatcher), Paul (Mary Ann) Bello, Tina Newman and Todd (Diane) Bello; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Anthony, Joseph, and Dominic Bello; and sister, Virginia MacDowell.
Inurnment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Donations may be made to:
