Reddick - Ira "Bud" Cowart 77, lifelong resident Reddick entered into heaven on February 19, 2013.
Born December 1, 1935, in Eureka, Florida and as a young man joined the Navy. As a lifelong military man, Bud traveled to many different places throughout the world. In 1975 he returned back to Reddick with his family where he started work with the City of Ocala and later retired as building maintenance supervisor.
He has always been a very active member with the First United Methodist Church of Reddick.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Florence. He is survived by his daughters, Sandy Cowart, Diane (DR) Sapp, Holly (Steve) Swearingen and Missy Cowart. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Max Fanelli, Zachary Swearingen, Sophie Fanelli and Austin Swearingen.
Family will be receiving friends on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home Ocala from 5 to 8 p.m.. Services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Reddick at 11 a.m. with a burial to follow at Millwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First United Methodist Church of Reddick.
