Ocala - Col. Ulyus O "Jack" Brinkley, 76, went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2013.
He was born in Shady Valley, TN on November 16, 1936 to parents, Floyd and Thelma (Farris) Brinkley. Col. Brinkley served 28 years in the U.S. Army with pride. He was in the Vietnam War twice. He enjoyed hunting, skeet shooting, fishing, and a great game of golf.
Col. Brinkley is survived by his wife Janet Brinkley, a son, daughter, three step children and 15 grandchildren.
A celebration of life party will be held on March 10, 2013 at 1:00 PM, Summer Glen Golf Community's Grand Hall.
A Graveside Service with full Military Honors will be held at The Arlington National Cemetery in VA on March 22, 2013 at 9:00 AM. He will be interred on Colonel Row.
