Ocala- Ellis Reed Padgett, 20 months, of Ocala, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Ellis was born in Ocala and lived here his entire life. He is survived by his parents, Jason and Malleri Padgett; brother Wyatt Padgett; maternal grandparents Michelle and Keith Veale; paternal grandparents, Bill and Zina Padgett, Nancy and Keith Maynard; maternal great grandfathers Gregory Demo Potiris and Howard Veale; paternal great grandparents Don and Gertrud Gibson; his aunt and god-mother Shelby Veale; his god-father Winn Keeton; aunts Ashley Jones, Amberly Veale, Hannah Veale, Rebekah Veale, Alyson Padgett; uncles Jeremy Veale, Sam Veale, Joseph Veale, and his cousin Landon Padgett.
Visitation for Ellis will be held Tuesday, March 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 27, at noon, also at Blessed Trinity. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., is handling arrangements.
A trust fund for Ellis has been established at Wells Fargo Bank. Contributions may be made to the Ellis Reed Padgett Foundation, C/O Wells Fargo Bank at any Marion County location.
