Ocala - Patrick Bartholomew Duffy, 69, of Ocala, passed away in his home Tuesday, April 9, 2013.
Born April 7th 1944 in Clinton, Iowa, he was the son of the late Russell and Shirley Duffy.
Pat served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor degree in Business. He worked as a VP for Royal Oak Charcoal before settling into a successful sales career with W.M. Palmer Company. Pat also worked at Packaging Resources.
Pat moved to Ocala in 1977 with his wife Cindi to raise their three children. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast but loved nothing more than attending his children and grandchildren's sporting events.
Pat is best known by his family and friends for his contagious laugh, quick wit and funny stories.
He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and Elks Club and a member of Golden Hills Country Club.
Pat is survived by his wife Cindi and his children Todd (Michele) Duffy of Ocala, Chrissy (John) Shephard of Tallahassee and Brian (Jennifer) Duffy of Ocala; his grandchildren Ryan, Hayden, Megan, Addison, Shannon, Lauren and Tyler; brothers Mike (Mary) of Gainesville, FL, Tim (Lori) of Arvada, CO, and Dan of Aurora, CO.
Viewing will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church on Thursday, April 11th 2013 from 6-8 pm (Reading of the Rosary at 7:30 pm). Funeral Mass will also be held at the church on Friday, April 12th 2013 at 12:30pm.
