MARCUS D., JR., 84
Citra - Marcus D. Dillon, Jr., 84 unexpectedly passed away at the Veteran's Administration in Lake City, Florida on January 16, 2014.
Marcus was born in Alderson, West Virginia and he was a native Floridian who faithfully served twenty four years in the United States Air Force. He received a BA and MA at the University of Florida, Gainesville in 1972. He was a SMSgt who received the Meritorious Service Medal in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fast pitch softball, flea markets, and he was an avid Vintage Kodak Camera Collector for sixty years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marcus D. Dillon, Sr. and his mother Faye Kittinger Dillon. He also is preceded in death by his sister Joanne Beasley of Citra, Florida. He is survived by a brother Jack E. Dillon of Ocala, Florida and his wife Maryetta Dillon. He is survived by his loving daughters, Debra F. Watson of Gulfport, Mississippi and Susan C. Russell of Biloxi, Mississippi as well as his granddaughter Maggie Susan Russell of Biloxi, and grandson Bryan L. Watson of Gulfport Mississippi. He also had a niece Karen Dillon of Ocala, Florida.
The funeral ceremony held was a private military service but friends of Marcus can pay their respects at the cemetery in Citra, Florida. Love you, Daddy and Pa Pa. Arrangements under Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ocala, FL.
