Gilligan, Vickie J.

Vickie J. Gilligan, 60, Green Bay, died of heart failure, Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at her home. She was born November 29, 1952, in Oconto Falls, to Willard and Shirley (Lucas) Knaus.

Vickie graduated from Oconto Falls High School, class of 1971. On June 10, 1972, she married Michael Gilligan at Oconto Falls United Methodist Church. Vickie was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church for more than 27 years. Her family was most important to her. She adored her grandchildren and loved to spend time watching them. Vickie enjoyed summers up at the cabin, celebrating birthday parties with her nieces, nephews and family. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and the many pranks she used to pull on her family.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Michael; two children and a son-in-law, April and Michael Martin, Hobart; Mike Gilligan, Green Bay; her pride and joy, her twin grandsons, Mitchell and Nathan Martin; her siblings and their spouses, Ronald and Sandra Knaus, Green Bay; Richard and Sharon Knaus, Colorado; Linda Gallas, Menasha; Jan Knaus, Coleman; Roger and Mary Knaus, Oconto Falls; Russell Knaus, Bill and Becky Knaus, Don Knaus, all of Green Bay; two special aunts and an uncle, Versa Hebert, Nancy and Gerry Wendt, all of De Pere; many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Ralph Knaus; a brother, Robert Knaus, and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation was held at Bethany United Methodist Church, Ashwaubenon, on Friday, March 22, followed by the Funeral Service. Burial will be in Volk Cemetery, Oconto Falls. Blaney Funeral Home is assisted the family. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
