Joyce Marcia (Westphal) Bourassa 96, Oconto Falls passed away Thursday April 24, 2014 at Sharpe Care Nursing Home, Oconto Falls. She was born in Lakewood on July 27, 1917 to the late Eunice and Edward Westphal. She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1933. On February 13, 1934 Joyce married Harry J. Bourassa in Wabeno. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1975. Together they logged in the area and had their own sawmill on Fireside Rd, Oconto Falls. Survivors include two daughters Darlene Rasmussen, Oconto Falls; Harriet Kuchenbecker, Oconto Falls; one son-in-law Norbert Tiegs, Lena; 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Joyce was known to all of her grandchildren as Grandma B. She is further survived by three sisters Bernice Baseley, New Mexico; Beatrice Poole, Clintonville; Janice Mauer, Klamath Falls, Oregon, one sister-in-law Jan Westphal, Oklahoma; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by one daughter Lorraine (Bourassa) Tiegs, three sons-in-law Allen Rasmussen, Laurence Courchaine Jr., Eugene Kuchenbecker; two brothers Jerald Westphal and Edward "Manny" Westphal and one sister Jean King. Private family services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls at a later date. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto is assisting the family.
