Fetterly, Russell Wayne

Russell Wayne Fetterly, 80 Oconto, WI, passed away with his family at his side in Concrete, WA.

He was born May 26, 1933, in Oconto Falls, Wis., to Harry and Hazel (Eastman) Fetterly. He worked his whole life as a dairy farmer, beginning while still in high school, except for his time served in the U.S. Army. In 1965, he received the Outstanding Farmer Award from the Oconto Jaycees, and was a longtime member of the Holstein Association. He married Carol Spencer in August of 1954. After retiring from farming, he loved to go for morning drives to locations unknown. He enjoyed going for log truck rides with his son, and riding his Minneapolis Moline tractor in the parade and on tractor rides.

Russell is survived by his children, Robyn Frizzell, Sedro-Woolley, Wash.; Lori (Joe) Ozechowski, Oconto, Wis.; Charles "John" (Jodi Anderson) Fetterly, Suring, Wis.; Steven (Cheryl Bowman) Fetterly, Concrete, Wash.; and daughter-in-law, Tami Fetterly; sister, Beverly Rehn; grandchildren, Lacey, Jason, Autumn "Rosie", Kyle, Samantha, Justin, Dakota, Brittany, Colton, Alicia, Amber, Angel, Carrie and Hailey; 12 great-grandchildren; and close friend, Mr. Good.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Carol Naomi Spencer; sons, Richard "Fritz" and Michael. A Celebration of Life was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at the Alger Community Center, 17835 Parkview Lane, Burlington, Wash.
