FAIRBANK - Karla Gae Moulds, 65, of Fairbank, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, in Cedar Valley Hospice Home of Waterloo, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 26, at St. John's Lutheran Church – Bennington, in rural Dunkerton, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Dunkerton.
Family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Woods Funeral Home in Fairbank, and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are preferred and can be designated to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Karla was born Jan. 14, 1947, in Waterloo, the daughter of Gerhard and Frances Newsom Kuentsling. She graduated from Dunkerton Schools in 1965 and from the University of Iowa in 1969. Karla was an elementary teacher in the Highland Community Schools, Cedar Falls School District and then at Wapsie Valley Community Schools, retiring in 2000. She married Robert Moulds on Sept. 7, 1968 at Fairbank and together they raised their four children.
Survivors include her husband Robert; three sons, Brian (Susan) of Dunkerton, Dustin (Angie) of Readlyn and Danny (Andrea) of Cedar Falls; her daughter Niki of Dunkerton; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Kevin Kuentsling and Kenny (Deanne) Kuentsling of Dunkerton; and one sister Karen (Wayne) Faust of Vista, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
