In 1996 Patricia began a second career as a travel consultant and started her own identity – NOVEL EXPLORATIONS, Where Fiction and Travel Merge, specializing in travel of interest to the reader and writer, including organizing tours and cruises. She also became a Great Britain expert. Patricia's interests also extended into the world of tea and she wrote a travel column for the Tea House Times – a publication that goes out to subscribers and tearooms across the nation.
She was an active member of Shorewood's Del Web community with interests in reading, movies, tea, the arts and travel. She started various groups; Movie & Meal Club, Tea Group and Lincoln Circle Luncheons. She was a member of the Book Club, 2013 Bocce Group and served as an office member for GOF, Girls of Glen.
