OELWEIN - Adam C. Ledesma, 29, of Oelwein, died Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 28, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein, with the Rev. Paul C. McManus officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, where there will be a Parish Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.

Adam Carl Ledesma was born Jan. 31, 1983 at Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Thomas John and Theresa Anne (Tressler) Ledesma. In 2001, he graduated from Oelwein Community High School. Adam then received a degree in police science from Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo. He was currently working at Avalon Tire and Service Center in Oelwein. Adam was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein. Adam enjoyed spending time with his son, family, friends, cooking, hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles-especially Dad's Harley. In death, Adam has given the "gift of life" in donating life-saving organs for transplant.
Adam is survived by his son Ayden Ledesma of West Union; parents Tom and Terri Ledesma of Oelwein; two sisters, Mikeala (Kenny) Marmelo of Hubert, N.C., and Brianne Ledesma (Chad Davis) of Oelwein; two nieces, Emma and Sophia Marmelo of Hubert, N.C.; his fiancée Leann Carmody of West Union; Leann's daughter Lexi Carmody of West Union; paternal grandmother Consuelo "Connie" Ledesma of Oelwein; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Carl and Delpha Tressler; paternal grandfather Felipe Ledesma; and maternal great grandparents Art and Hilda Harris.
