MESA, Ariz. - Richard Kirk Stofer, 60, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Oelwein, died at his home, Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010.
A memorial service and Masonic service will be held in Mesa, Wednesday, Dec. 8.
A private family memorial service will be held in Waterloo on the same date.
He was born May 5, 1950, in Jefferson, the son of Dick and Mary Stofer of Oelwein. He graduated from Oelwein High School in 1968 and from Central College in 1972.
He married Aileen Hoglan from Independence, on Aug. 6, 1973. He was a member of the Marion Masonic Lodge, a past member of the Oelwein Tin Lizzies and the Cedar Rapids Tandemeers.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Lisa (Shane) Kula of Queens Creek, Ariz.; six grandchildren; his parents of Oelwein; a sister, Susan (Bruce) Sperry of Waterloo; and a brother, Dale (Marilou Fallis) Stofer, of Scottsdale, Ariz.
