CEDAR FALLS - Jack R. Willett, 82, of Cedar Falls died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at his home.

He was born Dec. 29, 1930 in Oelwein, Iowa, son of Ralph "Tex" and Francis "Bobbi" (Luther) Willett. He married Eunice Gehring on Nov. 17, 1957 in Elgin, Iowa. She died Aug. 9, 1976. He married Boots Slater Aldrich on March 24, 1990 in Cedar Falls.
Jack graduated from Oelwein High School in 1949 and attended the University of Iowa. He owned and operated Tex Willett Company and following retirement was a Century 21 real estate agent.
He is survived by his wife Boots; three sons, Michael (Sue) of Cedar Falls, Mitchel (Yvonne) of Windsor, Colo., and Mark Bare of Vista, Calif.; two daughters, Debra (Matt) Van Pelt of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Patricia (James) McIntosh of Dunkerton; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother Chuck Willett of Cedar Falls; and one sister Teri (Rod) Hjermstad of Eden Prairie, Minn.
He was preceded in death by one daughter Esther Armstrong.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Orchard Hill Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.
The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service and also for one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
