Carl V. Anderson
STOW -- Our Dad, Carl V. Anderson, 86, finished his pilgrimage on this planet Earth shortly before 1:00 a.m. on August 5, 2013. He is now with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, Virginia his wife, and we know they are cheering for us here who haven't yet finished the race that the apostle Paul talks about in the New Testament of the Bible.
Born in Peale, Pa., he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, had retired from General Tire in 1982 after 31 years service and as a bus driver for the Stow schools in 1989. Carl was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed growing fruits and vegetables in his own garden for many years.
Preceded in death by his wife, Virginia in 2012; and parents, Axel and Jennie Anderson; he is survived by daughter, Jan (Frank) Margida; sons, Jim (Cheryl) Anderson, and Dave Lauersdorf; nine grandchildren; five great-grand-children; sister, Clarissa Win-chessin; and other family members.
Pastor Jim Mitchell will conduct service Wednesday, 7 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends are invited for visitation from 5 p.m. until service time. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Haven of Rest, 175 E. Market St., Akron 44308.

I have never met such a sweeter man as Mr. Anderson. Truely the face of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ shown in his soul. I will miss his kindness. What a legacy he has left. Prayers and thoughts are with his family.
