Not sure what to say?

My dad was telling me stories of his good friend Bud this am. My dad is Marvin L Wolfe. Bud got my dad to enlist in the Naval Reserve. Dad remembers being at a dance with Bud and his two sisters and somehow dad got pushed down some stairs. My dad really looked up to Bud. My best wishes to your family.

Kelvin, Mary Ann, Mrs.Rogers, and family. You have our sympathy on your loss.

He was truly an interesting and fun guy. Linda and I got to know him at those famous July 4th parties on the island.

I can still hear the sound of his distinct voice as I recall one of our college fraternity founders' day gatherings where he graciously accepted the offer to speak to the active chapter and Alumni.

(Knowing how these speeches can be long, we settled in, all the while hoping Bud's thoughts on Fraternity would keep our attention; Oh Boy we were not disapointed!)

After his introduction, Bud got up and walked to the podium, faced the assembled brothers of Phi Sigma Kappa simply said, "Remember, you can't spell Brothers without Others."
A pause ensued as the crowd let it sunk in, then the whole place just erupted in cheering and applause.

Bud was grinning ear to ear.

We are both so sad to loose such a good friend. We will always remember the first time we met Bud and Ruth. It was at Jim Rogers home. I,"Kathryn" so nervous because they belonged to a Country Club and we were just "plain old people". There son was marrying our daughter. How were we to act? Well, Bud walked into the room with a case of wine and asked "does anybody like wine". The ice was broken. They never once made us feel uncomfortable. Paul and I will miss Bud Rogers but we will continue to see him in our grandchildren. Paul and Kathryn Niz
