Charles Collins
GROVETOWN, GA. -- Mr. Charles Edward Collins, 63, entered into rest on Thursday, September 19, 2013.
Mr. Collins was born in Kentucky but was raised in Doylestown, Ohio. After graduating from Chippewa High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired after 21 years of service. Following retirement he worked as a lineman for Bellsouth until his medical retirement. Mr. Collins fought medical illnesses for many years but found comfort in his family.
Family members include daughters, Stephanie Bussey and husband Michael, Jackie Weis and husband Kenney, Jennifer Guilbeau and husband Shane; grandchildren, Gabriel Bussey, Noah Bussey, Chloe Weis, Colin Weis, Caleb Bussey, Sophia Guilbeau, Olivia Guilbeau, Tristen Bussey, Ethan Bussey; brother, Claude Collins; and sisters, Rita Krahl and Suda Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.C. and Mina Collins and sister, Cleo Pond.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, September 23, 2013 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Memorial contributions may be made to the CSRA Wounded Warrior Care Project, P.O. Box 31358, Augusta, GA 30903.

His body was broke but his heart was full of kindness. I will sure miss his funny stories and yearly visit. May he be at peace now with no pain or suffering. He was a dear friend.
