Cacioppo, Catherine Adelina - Akron  
Catherine Adelina Cacioppo Catherine Adelina Cacioppo, 99 1/2, went to be with the Lord Friday, February 5, 2016. Catherine was born August 15, 1916 in Camporeali, Sicily and came to the United States in 1931, living in New York until she married Joseph in 1932 and moved to Akron where she has lived since. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; infant daughter, Mary Margaret; siblings, Ann Chambers, Vita Rapacillo and Tony Montabano. She is survived by her children, Joseph (Isabel) Cacioppo of Green and Mary Azar, Nancy Koepke, Catherine Yost all of Akron; sisters, Jean Scarengella and Nancy (Bob) Simone of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren, Joseph (Elaine) Cacioppo of Green, Catherine (Salvatore) Zumbo of Baltimore, Md., Becca Cacioppo of Akron, Nancy Lynn (Steve) Dalton-Bennett of Akron, Peggy Wilhite of Akron, Guy (Debbie) Wilhite of Akron, Ann Marie (Vito) Spano of Hartville, Fred (Darlene) Azar of Cuyahoga Falls, Joe (Connie) Azar of Clinton and Mike, Mary, Rose and Allen Azar all of Akron; 22 great-grandchildren; 13 great great-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews. The family is grateful to the staff of St. Luke in North Canton for their special care of Catherine. Special blessings on Nancy Lynn for the loving care given to her grandmother. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron. Funeral services 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Carr, Roberts S. - Akron  
Robert S. Carr Robert S. Carr, 90, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016. Robert was born October 12,1925 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania to Phillip and Mary Carr. Robert served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Pearle E. Carr; children, Theresa (Jack) Wade, Katherine Wood, Robert Carr Jr. Family will receive friends on February 3, 2016, at 7 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2180 Martin Rd., Mogadore, OH 44260. Caruso, Marian D. (Popiel) - Tallmadge  
Marian D. (Popiel) Caruso Marian D. Caruso, 97, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on January 27, 2016 at the Gardens of Western Reserve. Born in Portland, Oregon February 18, 1918 to the late Mary and Michael Popiel, her family moved to Ohio when she was a child. Marian and her husband Charles Caruso lived in Cuyahoga Falls most of their life. She worked at Polsky, The May Co. in Cleveland and Goodrich during World War II. Marian attended North High School and Hammel Actual College. She also attended Akron University and the Cuyahoga Falls School of Nursing, graduating in 1974 at the age of 56 and was president of her class. Marian worked as a nurse at St. Thomas until her retirement. Marian was a charter member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles Caruso; daughter, Judith Ann Walker; parents, Mary and Michael Popiel; sister, Victoria Kareski; brothers, Joseph, John, and Frank Popiel. Marian is survived by grandchildren, Craig, Kevin and Ann Marie; great-grandchildren, Izaak and Simon; son-in-law, Bill Walker; and sisters-in-law, Paulyne Popiel, Helen Popiel; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, with Rev. Thomas McCann officiating. There will be visitation at the church one hour prior of the mass. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fr. Cassidy, John Phillip "Jack" - Henderson, Nev.  
John Phillip "Jack" Cassidy HENDERSON, Nev. -- John Phillip (Jack) Cassidy, 81, was born September 12th, 1934 in Akron, Ohio, and passed away February 1st, 2016 at his home in Henderson, Nev. Jack lived and worked most of his life in the Akron/Canton area, graduating from Garfield High School in 1952 and The University of Akron in 1961. He worked for the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. for over 46 years, and also served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Andrew Cassidy and two beloved sisters, Isabelle Hotchkiss and Ann Schmidt. He is remembered with love by his wife of 54 years, Judy (Corbett) Cassidy; and his two children, Teresa (Cassidy) Schnitzler and Mark Cassidy; three grandchildren, Kaitlin Cassidy, Ryan Schnitzler and Cassidy Schnitzler; his son-in-law, Eugene Schnitzler; as well as many nieces and nephews and wonderful group of friends who will all miss him terribly. A celebration of life will be planned for spring in Ohio.

Rebecca Jane Caywood Rebecca Jane Caywood, 66, reunited on February 5, 2016 with her father, Charles Wharton; mother and step father, Ada and William Schultz; sister, Susan Baum and brother, Scotty Wharton. Rebecca, a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, had a selfless and compassionate nature which made her "Mom" to so many. She always saw the good in people no matter who they were or what their circumstances. Her strength and resilience shaped more lives than she ever knew. Rebecca will always be known as Wife to David L. Caywood; Mom to Cassie (Roy) Hall, David Shawn (Zeida), Mindy (Jeremy) Moulton and Carrie (Luke) Holt; Lil'Ma to Braden, Lacy, Charlie, "Benny Boo", Jake, and Collin; Sister to "Charlie" Lamont Wharton; Aunt Becky to her faithful friend, Thomas Suttle; and many others. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hecker Funeral Home in Uniontown, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Moser officiating. Chaboudy, James Aaron "Jim" - Palm Harbor, Fla.  
James Aaron Chaboudy "Jim" Jim Chaboudy, 56, formerly of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 after a courageous struggle with heart disease while awaiting a heart transplant. He resided in Palm Harbor, Florida. Jim was an outstanding athlete at Cuyahoga Falls High School, class of 1977, where he played baseball and football. As the quarterback on the football team, Jim and his two best friends, Bill Nettling and Sam Barbone, helped lead the Black Tigers to a league championship with big victories over Akron St. Vincent and Warren Western Reserve resulting in one of the best records in school history. Jim attended Hiram College for one year before moving to Florida thirty years ago. Jim worked as a manager for the Winn-Dixie grocery chain. For the past several years he was employed by the United States Postal Service. He was active in his church and spent much of his spare time traveling with his daughter Heather, a heart transplant recipient, to various transplant Olympics around the country. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Richard and his younger brother, Greg. Jim will be greatly missed by his wife, Linda; daughters, Amber (Dustin) Incorvia and Heather Chaboudy; mother, Joan Chaboudy; and brother, Rick Chaboudy, both of Palm Harbor, Florida; sister, Karen Showers of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and brothers, Rusty (Kelly) Chaboudy of Stow, Ohio and Tom Chaboudy of Green, Ohio. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is being planned in Palm Harbor, Florida. Donations in Jim's honor can be made out to the American Heart Association or the Cuyahoga Falls Alumni Association.

Coldwell, Rose Marie "Dottie" - Cuyfalls  
Rose Marie "Dottie" Coldwell CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Rose "Dottie" Marie Coldwell, 85, passed away February 5, 2016. She was born in Detroit resided in Cuyahoga Falls for 44 years and spent the last nine years at Stow Glen Retirement Village. Dottie was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, where she served on the CCD. She was also a member of the Lincoln PTA, the Cuyahoga Falls Women's Club, the VFW Charles Faust Post 1062, the Elks Lodge 1923, the Cuyahoga Falls Bridge and Poker Club and Ladies Aux., the Pulaski Sisters and she volunteered at the voting booths for many years. Dottie loved reading, bingo, volunteering, family vacations and making people happy. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gordon; sister-in-law, Barbara Schore; she is survived by her children, William (Patricia), John (Teresa), Nancy (Curt) Bohon, Claudia (Rick) Duhan and Mary (Jim) Coldwell-Durnas; brother-in-law, Joe Schore; sister-in-law, Gwen (Dick) Bowlby; grandchildren, Vanessa, Jessica, Brian, Samantha, Vincent, Katie, John Michael, Alexandria, Meaghan, Elizabeth, Robert and Eric; great-grandchildren, Audrey, Eloise, Ela, Samuel, Myles and Ava. Connell, R. Joan - Gahanna  
R. Joan Connell R. Joan Connell, born Nov. 1, 1939, passed away on Jan. 29, 2016 from complications of rheumatoid arthritis. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas Connell; three sons, Timothy (Jill), Chris (Diane), and Kevin; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was an active member of the Wadsworth Women's Club, an amazing oil and watercolor painter, Sunday school teacher, and active member of the Wadsworth United Methodist Church from 1961-2005.
