Daniel, Deshawn Ray - Akron  
Deshawn Ray Daniel Deshawn Ray Daniel, 25, went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2014. He was born April 28, 1990. From the beginning of his life Deshawn was very loving, fun and outgoing. As a child Deshawn enjoyed building soap box cars with his father and competing in the Soap Box Derbys, where he won multiple titles and trophies. Deshawn graduated from Buchtel High School in 2009. Deshawn was a dedicated employee of Myers Industries where he took pride in working long hours. He was a devoted and caring father who loved his children. Deshawn enjoyed spending his free time organizing card parties, going to the casino, playing baseball and cracking jokes on his siblings. Deshawn was well loved by everyone who knew him. He always had a big infectious smile and could make anyone laugh. Deshawn will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Suzanne Alexander and uncle, Sammy Colvin, Jr. He will be deeply missed by his loving parents, Arminda Daniel and Bobby Ray Colvin. He leaves behind his lovely children, Aliece and Deshawn Jr.; his beloved siblings, Robert Ray, Shawndale Ray, Jazmyn, Jaquana, Lashunda, Myiesha, Karl Ray, Little Bobbi, Raymel Ray, Raelyn, Amari Ray, and Tyrone; grandparents, Maggie Colvin and Sammie Colvin, Sr.; uncles, Jimmie, Howard, and William; aunts, Linda (Darnell), and Kimberly; and a host of loved family and friends. Service will be held Friday, December 19, 2014 at 12 Noon at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307, Rev. Kerry Hall officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. DiGiacomo, Urbino A. - Tallmadge  
Urbino A. DiGiacomo CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Urbino A. DiGiacomo, 80, passed away on December 7, 2014. Urbino was born in Castiglione, Italy on October 21, 1934. The youngest of four sons born to Ulysse and Irene DiGiacomo, he immigrated to the United States at the age of sixteen where he built a wonderful life with his wife and four children. Urbino served in the United States Army and was stationed in Greenland and Germany. He worked as an Underground Foreman for Ohio Edison and retired in 1990 after 35 years of service. Urbino continued his work in the electrical trade for decades following his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church for 21 years and Ohio Edison Men's Club. Urbino's happiest moments in life were those spent with his adoring grandchildren. He will be missed forever by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and remembered for his easy smile and contagious laughter. He was preceded in death by his brother, Umberto (Marietta) DiGiacomo. Urbino is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gloria; daughters, Vicki (Christopher) Boshkos of Akron, Lisa (David) Paolucci of North Canton, Renee (Michael) DeBerry of Charlotte, North Carolina; son, John (Marianna) DiGiacomo of Green. He was the loving "Grandpy" to grandchildren, Ben and Mitchell Boshkos, Katie and Alyssa Paolucci, Sophie and Sam DeBerry, Vince, Joey and Anthony DiGiacomo. He also leaves behind, brothers, Ubaldo (Gina) DiGiacomo of Vancouver, British Columbia and Ugo DiGiacomo of Las Vegas, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle), with Father James Ragnoni officiating. Friends and family may gather one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Many thanks to the staff of Village at St. Edwards for their care and compassion. Avagene Digman MUNROE FALLS -- Avagene Digman born July 28, 1929 joined her loving children, Jeanada Shalene, and Darlene Digman in heaven on December 11, 2014. She leaves her husband of 64 years, Milford Darrell Digman; daughter, Sandra (Richard) Allshouse; sons, Gerald (Debbie) Rexroad, Darrell Gene (Tamie) and Milford Jay Digman; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Robert C. "Boris" Dimeff Robert C. "Boris" Dimeff, 81, passed away December 16, 2014. He was born in Akron, Ohio on June 25, 1933 to the late Christ and Mary Dimeff. He worked for Admiral Equipment and Akron City Parks and Recreation. Boris was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, chaplain of the American Legion Post 449, member of the V.F.W. and an active member of the Ellet Baseball Assoc. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judy; sons, Kenneth L. Sisler of Birmingham, Ala., Dr. Robert J. (Joanne) Dimeff, M.D., of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Cindy K. (Michael) Minrovic and Michelle M. Dimeff, both of Akron, Ohio.; grandchildren, Kimberly, Brandon (Megan), Bryan, Bradley, Brittany, Alexandra; great-grandchildren, Alex, Sydney and Karis; brother, Mick Dimeff; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dolan, Janet L. - Akron  
Janet L. Dolan Janet L. Dolan, 64, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at Akron City Hospital after a brief illness. Janet was born August 2, 1950 in Austin, Minn. and had been an area resident most of her life. She was employed as an executive assistant at Risk International. She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church where she volunteered at the hall for many activities. Janet is survived by her husband of 43 years, William (Bill); sons, William and Richard (Amanda) Dolan; granddaughter, Jessica Dolan; beloved sister of Lynn (dec.) (Greg), Gail, Patty, Kevin and David; sister-in-law of Bob (Barbara), Jim (Kathy), Mike (dec.), and Myra. Funeral service will be held Friday, 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Dollinger, Kathleen M. (Huth) - Akron  
Kathleen M. Dollinger (nee Huth) The Lord called Kathy "Mom" home on December 12, 2014 to reign with Him eternally. She served her life well until age 86. She was born April 3, 1928 in Randolph, Ohio. She was a nurse for more than 40 years, starting at Robinson Memorial Hospital, Akron City Hospital where she graduated from Nursing School in 1951, and Akron Children's Hospital during the polio epidemic in 1952-53. After she met and married her husband, Dale, she moved to Barberton and worked over 35 years at Barberton Citizens Hospital. Kathy was the finest example of a devoted caregiver as a nurse, mother, wife, and nurturer to all family and friends in need. Kathy was most recently a member of Grace Bible Church and formerly Akron Baptist Temple, where she was involved in numerous activities, including Sisters in Christ, Golden Agers, and funeral dinners. She and Dale had a passion for the Always Hope Outreach Center where they spent many charitable hours. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Albert M. and Edna (Seigfried) Huth; sister, Irene Elizabeth Spadaro; and brothers, Albert M. Huth Jr., Wayne Huth, and Ralph Huth. She is survived by Dale A. Dollinger, her husband of 61 years; two loving daughters, Susan E. Dollinger (Andy Paquet) of Green, Ohio and Sally B. Liner of North Canton, Ohio; grandchildren, Jason Paquet (Isolde Teba) of Westerville, Ohio, Maggie Paquet of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Leigh Liner of North Canton, Ohio; and great-granddaughter, Harper Paquet of Westerville, Ohio. The family is deeply grateful to the staff of ManorCare-Barberton for their compassionate attendance to Kathy the past three months, and to Heartland Hospice professionals during her last days.
