Davis, Danny - Akron  
Danny Davis Danny Davis went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2015. He was born on October 31, 1947. He was a member of AA with 24 years of sobriety where he touched so many lives. He cherished spending time with his family and friends. Danny was lucky to be the recipient of a liver transplant. His lifelong wish was for those to consider organ donation; please give life. He also loved antiquing and visiting flea markets. He was preceded in death by his beloved dogs, Doug and Gizzy Bear. Danny is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Amy; daughters, Krista (Chris) Lichty, and Lacey Davis; son, Daniel (Amy) Davis; granddaughters, Briana, Aubrie, and Aria Lichty, and Zoey Davis; special friends, Ron and Carolyn Roseberry, and Jack Didado; and numerous nieces and nephews. Deger, Ronald Charles "DEGS" - Akron  
Ronald "DEGS" Charles Deger Ronald Charles Deger, 68, of Barberton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, January 23, 2015. Ronnie was born August 11, 1946 in Akron, Ohio to parents, Clarence and Marie Deger. He graduated from Archbishop Hoban High School with the Class of 1968. Ronnie served America honorably and proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. In 1984, Ronnie married Lisa Blanc of Akron. In 1994, following 26 years of loyal service in the City of Akron Police Department, Officer Deger retired. He was a member in good standing of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2736, the American Legion Post 449, and the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 7. Ronnie was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Akron and member of the Knights of Columbus 3410, practicing many good works, guided by the principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. Ronnie was a devoted son and brother, as well as a faithful and protecting husband and father. In addition to his parents, Clarence and Marie; Ronnie was preceded in death by his brothers, David, Gerald and Daniel Deger. He is survived by his loving family, including wife of 30 years, Lisa; children, Brian (Ellie Mae), Angela and Andrew; siblings, Theresa (Jerry) Hartman, Charles (Kathleen) Deger, Marsha (Terry) Porter, Cindy Deger and Kevin Deger; granddaughter, Sarah Deger; and numerous "favorite" nieces and nephews. Ronnie was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. He will be missed here, and forever remembered fondly by family and friends for his heartwarming humor, eager hospitality, and tender generosity. He was a friend to all, touching countless lives with an exceptionally soft heart for those in crisis or special need. The family will receive friends TOMORROW from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Funeral services will begin 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, with prayers at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Road in Akron. Interment will be Thursday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, in Rittman at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Dennison, Freda L. - Akron  
Freda L. Dennison Freda L. Dennison, 85, of Tallmadge, passed away January 23, 2015. She was born on November 17, 1929 in Falls Mills, W. Va. to the late Clyde and Edith Teter. Freda was very creative and loved sewing and crafts. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; son, Bryan; and sisters, Grey Mick and Thelma Zerr. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Brenda Dennison and Patty (Jason) Bonecutter; sons, Hubert (Esther) Dennison and Lee (Sheila) Dennison; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Anna Lee (Slim) Ellis; brothers, Dana (Polly) Teter, Harold (Melva) Teter, and Arlis Teter. Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Steve Dulabahn Steve Dulabahn, 62, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, January 23, 2015. Steve was employed for 25 years at Roadway Express and then Yellow Freight. He was a huge Steelers fan and loved to play softball. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Mildred (Brumbaugh) and is survived by his children, Erin (Chuck) Yerkey and Justin Dulabahn; grandchildren, Matthew and Jessica Yerkey; sister, Nancy Kiplinger; and former wife of 37 years, Paula (Pachipka).
