Leighley, Bonnie L. - North Canton
Bonnie L. Leighley It is with deep regret that on November 18, 2014, we lost an angel! Bonnie L. Leighley, a graduate of the Massillon City School of Nursing and a nurse at Akron Children's Hospital for fifty-one years, passed away. She will always be remembered for her kindness, loving care and respect for all those around her. Her compassion, endless caring for others has touched the lives of thousands, all who were fortunate enough to cross her path, knew her for her selflessness. The days were never too long nor the call for help ever too late. She viewed her profession as a calling and a gift from God. Whenever she was needed, whatever the task, she was always willingly there personally and professionally. God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove us, He only takes the best. Go forth dearest Bonnie and heal the angel's broken wings… The world will never be the same for her sisters, Barbara Miller and Beverly Mears; her brother, Bob Bendure, Dr. Dennis Weiner, and all her faithful friends. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service was held at the Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Services entrusted to Ohio Cremation and Professional Services (330-438-1745) Mark R. Vrabel Funeral Home, North Canton, Ohio
