Batdorff, Jean A. - Wadsworth  
Jean A. Batdorff WADSWORTH -- Jean A. Batdorff, 90, of Wadsworth, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016. She was born on January 1, 1926 in Wadsworth to the late Ernest and Charlotte Messner. Mrs. Batdorff was a former member of the Mother Singers, the VFW Women's Auxiliary and was an avid bowler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard on February 14, 2009; son, Michael in 2012; grandson, Benjamin in 2005; brother, Lloyd Messner and sister, Clara Randall, Donna Lewis ,Lois Velloney, and Helen MIlls. Jean is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Linda, Dan and Rose, Matthew and Melanie; daughter, Carol Warren; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and George Minton, and daughter-in-law, Jacqueline. There are 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grand children, two great-great grandchildren; her sister, Carol Mills and several nieces and nephews also surviving. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Butcher officiating. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to service from 11 - 1 p.m. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Beckner, Gene - Louisville  
Gene Beckner Gene Beckner, age 87, (February 10, 1929 - August 13, 2016) has been reunited with his beloved wife, Joyce, who passed away in 2015. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he graduated from West Tech High School in 1947 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Gene and Joyce were married in 1954 and eventually settled in Akron, Ohio to raise their family. Gene worked in the insurance business as a regional manager with Bankers Life & Casualty. He is survived by his five children, Michael, Shari, Connie, Tricia and Ken; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marie, and his sister, Joyce. Gene was a fun-loving person with a gregarious, cheerful personality. He loved to joke, had a funny wit and loved to laugh. He enjoyed being on the golf course, watching the Cleveland Indians, playing cards, planting flowers in the yard, and owning and restoring classic cars. He believed in community service and a life of faith and was a past member of the Copley-Fairlawn Kiwanis Club and St. Hilary Catholic Church. He was a hard worker, a great dancer, a devoted husband, a great dad, and cheerful to the end. Gene would whistle, hum and sing no matter what life threw his way. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at St. Hilary Catholic Church, Fairlawn, with the burial at 2 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman. Beech, Timothy E. - Wadsworth  
Timothy E. Beech WADSWORTH -- Timothy E. Beech, 48, of Wadsworth, passed away due to heart failure on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. He was born June 30, 1968, to Dee (Rohler) Stewart and Ron Beech in Barberton, Ohio. Tim graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1987 where he was a member of the baseball and swim teams. He earned his Associate Degree in electronics and worked in the POS field for many years. He also worked as a carpenter, electrician, and iron worker. Tim had a very boisterous and energetic personality and was always fun to be around. He was an excellent, accomplished, and successful athlete participating in swimming, baseball, softball, and football. He also enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, motorcycle riding, bowling, snowmobiling and, most recently, jet skiing. And you could always count on him to be the first one to dinner on Sunday's because of his love for mom's home cooking! Tim was preceded in death by his step-sister, Sandra Crowe. He is survived by his mother, Dee Stewart; father, Ron Beech; step-parents, Dave Stewart and Linda (Crowe) Beech; step-brothers, Timmie Crowe, Billy Crowe; and step-sisters, Tara Crowe, Melissa Stewart; his aunt, Connie (Kevin) Hoover; cousins, Gail, Danielle and Lauren; and his special friend, Nettie (Grandma). Bolin, Mary Jane - Smithfield, N.C.  
Mary Jane Bolin January 13, 1928 September 21, 2016 Mary Jane (Jane) Bolin, 88, of Smithfield, N.C., loving mother, and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Jane was born January 13, 1928 in Akron, Ohio. She was a Home Economics and English teacher in the Summit County, Ohio school system before raising her family. After moving to Raleigh, Jane worked at the NC Hospital Association, followed by her service to the State of NC as a research assistant in the Governor's Office. Jane was an avid bridge player, fisherman and animal lover. Jane is survived by her daughters, Deborah Bolin Goerlich (Aaron) of Bethesda, Md. and Pamela Bolin Pope (Benny) of Smithfield; two grandchildren, John Bolin Goerlich and Cara Gates Goerlich; two stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren and many loving friends. A celebration of Jane's life will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 2155 South Third Street, Smithfield, NC 27577. The family will receive friends immediately in the Fellowship Hall following the service. Bonadio, Mila - Medina  
Mila Bonadio (nee Jolliff) Mila Bonadio (nee Jolliff), 85, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016. Mila was born August 4, 1931, in Wooster, Ohio. She graduated from Massillon High School in Ohio. Mila worked for the Medina Police Department as a Dispatcher and Records Clerk form September of 1966 to December 1996. She started her 30 year career with a long hike up the stairs to the police dispatch office above the one time Fire Department that now is the Engine House Museum on the square in Medina. She enjoyed not having to make that hike when the new building was built on Friendship St. As all Police Department personnel, Mila was devoted to service to the community and her fellow employees. Mila was awarded the Number One Gold Police Badge after many years of service. Mila was a member of the Ohio Patrolman Association and had served as a Union Representative. She had been a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Mila earned her college degree in June 1986 from Cuyahoga Community College. In her retirement years, she volunteered at Project Learn in Medina. Mila was a huge Cleveland sports fan. She faithfully watched all the basketball playoff games and was delighted to watch the Cavaliers and her hero, LeBron James, win the 2016 NBA Championship. Mila especially loved telling everyone that two of her grandchildren went to high school with LeBron. Mila enjoyed sewing, reading (especially mystery novels), and most of all, she loved her family. Mila worked hard making many meals from scratch. Her most famous being the spaghetti sauce she made for her family at almost every family event. Mila was a friend, a caregiver, a confidant, and always made her family feel good about themselves. Mila is survived by her children, Marjorie (Adrian) Frana of Akron, Ohio, Kathleen (Rodney) Webster of Henderson, Kentucky, Elizanna (Chris) Crandall of Medina, Ohio, Vincent (Karen) Bonadio of Sunbury, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and stepbrother, Raymond Bucklew of California. Mila was preceded in death by her former husband and best friend, Vincent Bonadio Sr. of Medina, Ohio; and her grandson, Samuel Donald McNeil (mother Elizanna Crandall) of Hudson who passed away in October 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 23, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. William C. "Bill" Borland Sr. William C. Borland, 67, passed away surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. William was born on December 30, 1948 in Akron, Ohio to Lewis and Evelyn Borland. Donald A. Brady February 4, 1940 September 18, 2016 In loving memory of a dear husband, father, uncle, grandfather, son, brother; Born February 4th 1940, and preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Anne Brady. A man of incredible selflessness, devotion to his family, and honor for the Lord, he lived a life of simplicity and conviction and care for his fellow man. He will be remembered for his wonderful laugh, his old fashioned ways, his silly faces, tremendous work ethic, and for setting an example of how to lead a life the best that one can. His ability to fix anything imaginable was extraordinary as he was a true "Mr. Fixit." We are so very thankful of our time we have had with you and you will be horribly missed as our provider, our rock, and our hero in every sense of the word. Father above please accept this loving man into your beautiful kingdom so that he may rest in your eternal light, and peace, and please provide us your comfort from now until we see his face again.
