Carl W. Jarvis

Carl W. Jarvis, 83, passed away on February 3, 2013.

He was born May 20, 1929 in Mogadore to Jacob and Annie Jarvis. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and then served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Company and was a member of the Barberton VFW and the Barberton Moose. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching basketball, most of all enjoyed spending time with his great-granddaughter, Kailey.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bobby. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donnell; sons, Bob (Brenda) and Gary (Connie); daughters, Debbie Vincent and Cheryl Jarvis; grandchildren, Stephanie (Brandon) Jones, Steven Vincent, Garret Jarvis, Whitney Melton, Nathan (Sylvia) Weidman, and Robert (Elizabeth) Weidman; great-grandchildren, Kailey, Brandon, Blake, Baylee, Jacob, Madison, Brooke, and Chase.

Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m., Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
