Charles Wayne Boyce, 79, went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2013.
He was born December 13, 1933 in Fairmont, W.Va. to John and Ella Boyce. He served in the U.S. Army and was very active in the Ford Motor Company, retiring after 55 years of service. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Akron Baptist Temple. Charles enjoyed playing chess and checkers.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Thomas; great-granddaughter, Faith French; sister, Dorothy; brother, Yvon; and brother-in-law, Darius Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Cleta; daughter, Renee (Robert) Winkelblech; brothers, Paul (Penny) and Rex (Debbie) Boyce; sister, Ann Taylor (Sammy Manno); sister-in-law, Sue Boyce; grandchildren, Heather (Jeff) French and Andrew Winkelblech; great-grandchildren, Christian, Austin, Lucas, and Matthew French; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
The family will greet friends at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic Service provided by Quarry Lodge No. 0382 beginning at 7 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 13th, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service, Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Military Services provided by Firestone VFW
