Dana W. Lyon

Dana W. Lyon, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, 92 of Citrus Springs, Fla., formerly of Ravenna, passed away Sunday December 1, 2013 in Citrus Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 20, 1921 in Muskingum County, Ohio to the late Ralph and Jolliette (Alexander) Lyon. Dana served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Liberty Bible Church, retired from Norton Co. in Akron.

He is survived by his sons, Richard Lee (Karen) Lyon of Tallmadge, Rick (Rebecca) Lyon of Citrus Springs, Fla.; five grandchildren, Holly, Mike (Dawn), and Faith Lyon all of Ravenna, Heather (Jason) Alderman of Rootstown, Wendy Lyon of Canton; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 35 years, Gladys, and by his second wife of 27 years, Ruby; He was the last in a long list of aunts, uncles, and brothers.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2013 and 10 till time of there service at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013. at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel where Rev. Paul Phillips will be officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Dana's name to the Liberty Bible Church, 2215 St. Rt. 183, Atwater, Ohio 44201.
