Earl M. Bahm

Earl M. Bahm

Earl M. Bahm, 83, passed away Sept. 25, 2006, after a long illness, at St. Luke Lutheran Community in North Canton.

Earl was born in Akron, Ohio, on Oct. 26, 1922. He was the son of Max and Selma Bahm (nee Newbauer). He was a lifelong resident of Akron until his illness in 1986, when he became a resident of St. Luke Lutheran Community. Earl was a life member of Grace Lutheran Church in Akron and most recently a member of Fairlawn Lutheran Church.

With all his disabilities, Earl was always willing to help at St. Luke's. He dearly loved small children, animals, and all of God's creatures.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Alice Oliver and Edith Sandmann. He will be sadly missed by sister, Viola Bahm, and dear cousin, Gail Newbaur (who was so good at keeping him happy and caring for his needs). He is also survived by nephews, Harold (Charlene) Sandmann, Walter (Mary Ann) Sandmann; niece, Minna Garmen; cousins, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family wishes to sincerely thank all of the staff at St. Luke Lutheran Community, especially the nursing staff on Twin Hills, for their tender, loving care of Earl over the many years in which he was a resident there.
