

Fred L. Calmese, Sr., 83, was a resident of the Akron community for over 60 years. He was born August 15, 1929 in Long Post. Mississippi. He went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2012 with his family by his side.
Fred moved to Akron to enlist in the United States
Army, where he served in the
Korean War. He became an auto worker at Ford Motor metal stamping plant in Walton Hills, Ohio for over 28 years, also being an active member of the UAW local post 420.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Calmese; two sons, James A. and Frederick D. Calmese; daughter, Carolyn Williams; two sisters, Shirley Joe Edwards and Nora Bonner; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five nephews, and five nieces.
Services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 at Stewart and Calhoun Funeral Home, Pastor Curtis Minter officiating. Interment Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery.
