Geza Geier Jr.

Geza Geier, Jr. passed away July 15, 2013, at age 63, after a long illness.

He was born in Balaton, Hungary on April 4, 1950 and moved to the U.S. in 1957. He graduated from Barberton High School in 1969 and The University of Akron in 1977. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was married to the love of his life, Becky, for 35 years and enjoyed raising his three girls. He worked at B&C for several years, and proudly retired from Sattler Machine in 2012 after 23 years. Geza loved instant lottery tickets, going to the casino, cats, fixing up old bikes for the neighbor kids, and shopping for bargains.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Geza Sr. and Margit and sister, Helen (Jim) Sutton. He is survived by his wife, Becky Geier; daughters, Shiloh Geier, Jill Geier, Sara (Josh) Rawdon; grandchildren, Anthony, Matthew, Annabelle; special nieces, Emily and Elena; many nieces, nephews, and extended family here and in Hungary.

A celebration of his life will be Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 5 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave, Barberton. Family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the celebration. Inurnment will take place later at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
