Glen Dale Bennett

CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Glen Dale Bennett, 81, passed away April 22, 2013.

He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Bennett was born in Circleville, W. Va. and served in the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany (CV-34) during the Korean War and graduated from Tri State College in Angolia, Ind. He worked as a dispatcher in the trucking industry. He was a handyman and loved to read and study the Bible. He was a member of Northampton Bible Church.

Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Sara and eight brothers and sisters, he is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Cathy of Mogadore and Nathaniel and Denise of Roanoke, Va.; grandchildren, Joshua (Hannah) Bennett, Rachel (Chris) Watson, Jacob Bennett and Briana, Dylan, Valerie and Alicia Bennett; brothers and sisters, Roy "Chick" (Betty) Bennett, Wayne Bennett, Jackie (Buzz) Burkey and Jane (Jim) Hoover.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 28 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, at the Northampton Bible Church, 333 W. Steels Corners Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, Rev. John Hopson officiating.
