Gregory "Scott" Long

Gregory "Scott" Long, 51, passed away March 7, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Wadsworth Ohio on July 14, 1961. Scott enjoyed camping and hunting at Maple Lakes Campground and in his spare time, enjoyed working on cars and boating. He started his career at Telxon and moved on to Softechnics and became a dedicated wireless software engineer.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert Truex, and Glenn and Frances Long; He is survived by his wife of six years, Lori; daughter, Lisa Charnuk; grandson, William Scott; parents, Richard and Evelyn Long; siblings, Mark, Brent (Ruth) and LynMarie; grandma, Christena Truex; nephew, Christopher Welch; several other nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9282 Acme Rd,. Seville, Ohio 44273 with Pastor Ed Kropa officiating. Calling hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home, 1376 High St., (St. Rt 94, one mile N of I-76) Wadsworth, Ohio 44281 and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the in his name.
