Harold "Duane" Hacker

BARBERTON -- Harold "Duane" Hacker, 76, went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2012. He was born on September 28, 1936 in Copen, W.Va.

Duane was an avid hunter and musician. He worked at Alsides US Steel and volunteered for the Sheriff's Department. He was a member of the Civitan, Hungarian, Jednota, Sokol Assembly and Slovene Center. He was very kind and helpful to all of his neighbors, never expecting anything in return.

Preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte; infant daughter, Leah; brother, James; and sister, Ann. He is survived by daughters, Cyndy (Howard) Carpenter, Debbie (Rick) Graham, April (Gorden) Chamberlain, and Amy (Bob) Deisz; eight grandchildren; and special granddaughter and best friend, Hailey Deisz; 16 great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale Hacker, Jr. and Earl Hacker both of W.Va.; numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Cox Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave. in Barberton. Burial at Lakewood Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
