Helen Marie Reiner, age 95, of Stow, passed away March 8, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born October 20, 1917 in Indiana, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Mary (Setlock) Sabo. Helen was a member of St. Eugene Church and former member of Immaculate Conception Church where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
During World War II Helen worked for Firestone and later for Eaton Corp. She worked for Nichols Dry Cleaners and retired at age 89 from Fussy Dry Cleaners.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Reiner. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Steve) Thompson of Stow; her sons, Joseph Reiner of Akron, and David (Jennifer) Reiner and her daughters Jessica and Brittany Higginbotham of Norton; grandson, Stevie Thompson; granddaughter, Melissa Thompson; great-granddaughters, Brooke and Rheagan Thompson; adopted granddaughter, Rachel Whitacre; and two beloved dogs Tanner and Toby.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Eugene Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave. in Cuyahoga Falls. Fr. Neil Crosby Celebrant. At Helen's request there are no calling hours. Funeral procession to form at church. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to AseraCare Hospice, 2820 W Market St. Akron, Ohio 44333.
