Henry (Hank) Herdina

Henry (Hank) Herdina, 86, went home to the Lord February 4, 2014. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

He was a World War II veteran, longtime resident of Cuyahoga Falls, and member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Hank will be remembered for his Christian spirit and kind manner. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Briar Hill Hunt & Fishing Club. In his retirement, he enjoyed hiking, the outdoors and helping others. His generous spirit led him to make hundreds of rosaries for the Catholic missions in India.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Theresa (Patsy); his children, Carole (Charles A.) Wepler, Diane, Tony (Rebecca); and five grandchildren, Shelley, Rachel, Charles M., Claire and David. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Julia (Roman) and brother, Joseph.

Calling hours are Saturday 10 to 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials may be made to in Mr. Herdina's name.
