Irwin H. Isroff

Irwin H. Isroff, Akron resident for almost 60 years, passed away Friday, April 11 just shy of his 94th birthday, surrounded by his beloved family.

The former president of the Westhall Company (a family owned retail jewelry enterprise) was a World War II veteran of the South Pacific theatre, an avid sport and fitness enthusiast, and a past president of Rosemont Country Club.

He was predeceased by Melva (Stein), his first wife of 33 years; his brother, Alvin of Cleveland; and his grandson, Jonathan Davis. He is survived by his second wife of almost 30 years, Ruth (Landers); his children, Judy (Newton, Mass.), Gary (Akron), and Debie (Paul Adler, Natick, Mass.); and his grandchildren, Marcy and Lexi Adler, Jennifer and Jillian Davis and Jillian's fiancé Michael Klein. He is also survived by his sister, Eunice Sperber of Stamford, Conn. and by his stepsons, Richard, Bruce, and Robert Demsey and their families.

Private interment on Sunday, April 13th, will be followed by a memorial service at Temple Israel at 11 a.m. After the service the family will receive visitors in the Temple social hall.
