BARBERTON -- John "Jack" G. Coffman, 82, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013.
Born on July 3, 1930 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, moving to Ohio in his early teens, he was a graduate of Garfield High School, Class of 1948. John was a U.S. Army
and U.S. Navy
veteran of the Korean Conflict
and retired from a career with the State of Ohio.
John was a Christian and his family attends Barberton Church of Christ.
He was greatly loved by his family and will be dearly missed.
Preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth Coffman; brother, Charles Coffman and sister, Marilyn "Honey" Hewitt; John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Doris Coffman; daughter, Linda Coffman; sons, John Coffman and Shawn (Kim) Coffman; his greatly loved granddaughter, Amanda Coffman; brother, David Coffman; sister, Norma Brewer; along with other family members, Delores (Harry) Van Pelt; Jim (Joy) Van Pelt, Mark (Pat) Van Pelt, Mark and David Van Pelt and many friends.
A graveside service will be held TODAY (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at Greensburg Cemetery, 4890 Thursby Road, N. Canton, Ohio 44720 with Keith Welch officiating. 330-745-3161
