John P. "Jack" Bracht, 98, passed away at home February 10, 2013 after a brief illness.
He was born in Seneca Falls, N.Y. November 22, 1914. He had been a resident of the Akron area since 1936. Jack retired from B.F. Goodrich Company after 43 years as a Tire Development Engineer and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Preceded in death by his grandson, Robert; brothers, Paul and Earl; survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Charlotte; sons, John (Nancy), Fred (Sheila); daughter, Alice E. (Pete) Drus; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Norman (Molly) Bracht.
Service will be held 1 p.m., Friday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron, with Rev. John Schluep officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
