Kenneth L. Adolph

Kenneth L. Adolph, 85, of Loop Road, Kent, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 30, 1917 in Suffield, to George and Ida (Horning) Adolph. He at tended St. Jo seph Parochial School, Suf field High School and Kent State University graduat ing in 1941. He was a World War II Army Veteran serving as Captain for 4 1/2 years in Anti Aircraft Artillery. He was an accounting instructor for several years at Kent State University. Mr. Adolph worked at the Huntington National Bank for 40 years, retiring as executive vice president in 1980 and was a mem ber of the Board of Directors of the Kent Office. He was a member of St. Pedro's Church in North Port, Fla., Kiwanis Club of North Port, Fla., and was a former member St. Patrick's Church and St. Joseph Church, Kent Kiwanis Club, Kent Garden Club, and Kent Wrangler's Club.

Survivors include sons, Keith (Charlene) Adolph of Foster City, Calif. and Roger (Marti) Wilkinson of Bay City, Texas; daughters, Sandy (Rosie) Rosenthal of Freder icksburg, Va. and Sue (Gary) Lane of Kent; and grandchildren, Gary Lane Jr., Lauren Adolph, Kevin Adolph, Michael Wilkinson, and Maya Wilkinson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta K. (Meyers) in 1999; and by son, Kent Adolph in 1947; brothers, Eugene, Gilbert, Arnold, and Herman; and sister, Leona Adolph.

Calling hours will be held 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday at the Bissler & Sons Funeral Home, where fu neral services will be held 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Portage County Hospice, Attn: Development/Visiting Nurse Service, 1200 McArthur Dr., Akron, Ohio 44320.
