Maxine I. Messner

Maxine I. Messner, 90, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at her home.

She was born December 29, 1922, in Akron, Ohio, to Lester J. and Lulu Belle (Rumbaugh) Shellhorn. On August 15, 1948, she married Ramon A. Messner, and he preceded her in death. She enjoyed doing volunteer work and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Venice, Fla.

She is survived by one son, Randy Messner of Kokomo; one daughter, Melissa Wiley of Carbondale, Colorado; special niece, Kandre Stephenson; grandchildren, Jessica Wiley, Ramon Messner, Kandra Messner, Kassandra Messner, Amanda (McKenzie) Glover, and Diana Scott; and great-grandchildren, Kasyn Messner, Kendrick Brown, Koen Glover, Kaden Glover, Javon Blackwell, Jazon Blackwell, and Durand Hamilton. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Melody Anne Messner.
