Michael Joseph Angiulo

Michael Joseph Angiulo passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the age of 90.

He was born in Akron, Ohio on April 29, 1922 to Bartelo and Filomena (Paciola) Angiulo, who preceded him in death, along with older brother, Nicholas of Akron.

Michael lived in Ohio all of his life, except for the three years he spent in the Army during World War II in the South Pacific. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for wounds received in action. He was a graduate of Hammel Business University and the University of Akron. Michael was District Auditor for District Four of ODOT, and spent the last years of his working career as the Fiscal Officer of the County of Summit Engineer's office, until his retirement in 1990.

He leaves his loving wife of fifty-plus years, Shirley; sons, James (Marie) of Bath and Michael John (Jayme) of Green; grandchildren, Katie, Karen, Kimberly, Michael, Sarah, Maggie and Kaitlyn; and brother, Frank of Uniontown.

Calling hours will be on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the start of the funeral service, which will begin at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton, Ohio 44203, with Fr. Joseph Warner officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial bequests may be made to the Blessed Trinity Parish, 300 E.
