Patricia (Pat) Raynor

Patricia (Pat) Raynor, age 70, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2014 in Florida after her courageous three year battle with breast cancer. Pat was born in Jamaica, N.Y. to the late Forrest (Bud) and Dorothy (Morpeth) Raynor. The family moved to Bath, Ohio when she was in high school. Pat got her Bachelor's degree at Bowling Green State University and her Masters degree at Kent State University. She taught in Wisconsin for two years, Twinsburg, Ohio for 28 years, and Kent State University for four years. She was an avid reader, loved teaching and coaching, cooking, travel, golfing and spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves behind, her loving partner of 44 years, Jan Valenti; brothers, Don (Kathy) of Akron, David (Vicki) of Hudson; aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. A special thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, aides, family and friends who cared for her both in Ohio and Florida.

A Celebration of Life will be held on the beach in Florida, and in the spring in Ohio. If you so choose, we ask that donations be made to: Suncoast Hospice Center, 6770 102nd Ave. N, Pinellas Park, FL 33782. Those who knew her will truly miss her, and the impact that she made individually on their lives.
