Raymond Brannon E. (Gene)

(1927-2013)

Raymond E. Brannon, 86, passed away on November 23, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona.

He was born in Parnassus, Pa. to Howard and Linnie Brannon.

After serving in the Navy in World War II, he earned his Bachelors and Masters from Kent State University. Ray later devoted much of his career to Woodridge/Boston Northampton High School as a teacher, football coach, and athletic director. After retirement, Ray and his wife, Dorothea, moved to Mesa, Arizona where he enjoyed playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothea; sons, Lynn, Gary and Scott; daughter-in-law, Margee Brannon; grandchildren, Erica and Kent Brannon; and sister, Eileen Ripper.

There will be no services as per request. Donations in Ray's memory may be made to Hospice of Arizona Foundation, 19820 N. 7th Ave., Ste. 130, Phoenix, AZ 85027, or the National Parkinson's Foundation.
