Richard Allan Mikaloff

Richard Allan Mikaloff, 85, of Stow, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2013 in Chesterfield, Michigan.

Born in McKees-port, Pennsylvania to Richard and Dorothy Mikaloff, Dick lived most of his life in northern Ohio. He was a gifted artist and musician. He attended the USN School of Music in Washington, D.C. and served and toured in the U.S. Navy Band from 1948 until 1953. After his discharge, he attended art school and worked as a graphic artist for the BF Goodrich Company until 1993, when he opened his own commercial art studio until retirement.

Dick always enjoyed traveling. In the 1960's and 70's, he went on many family vacations with his wife, Nancy and their children. Through the years, the family visited every state in the continental United States. After retiring, Dick and Nancy sold their home in Stow and set out in their fifth wheel truck and trailer to spend winters touring the southern states before returning home to Ohio each summer to visit with family and friends.

Richard is survived by his wife, Nancy Catherine Mikaloff; sister, Carol White; daughter, Holly Brommer, son, Edward C. Mikaloff, daughter, Pat Myers; granddaughter, Amy Mikaloff, granddaughter, Alison Race-Hildebrand, grandson-in-law, Lloyd Hildebrand; great-grandson, Kaden Hildebrand; first cousin, Robert Iverson.
