Robert G. "Bob" Adolph

Robert G. ``Bob' Adolph, 86, of Kent, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at his residence.

He was born October 29, 1924 in Randolph, Ohio to Joseph Lee and Petronella Mary (Wise) Adolph. He was a 1943 graduate of Roosevelt High School. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Bob was a proud sixty year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union #306.

He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty four years, Bertha (Wetzel) Adolph. He is survived by son, Robert ``Bobby' (Marcia) Adolph, Jr. of Rockford, Ill.; daughters, Sue Ann Adolph of Cuyahoga Falls, Barbara (Richard) Sharnsky of Akron, Jo Marie (John) Gonos of Kent; grandchildren, Ken (Cheryl) Adolph of Rockford, Ill., Amanda (Mike) Tucker of Scottsdale, Ariz., Richard Sharnsky of Columbus, Paula (Todd) Stewart of Suwanee, Ga., and Beth Gonos of Kent; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Sylvan Adolph of Hartville.

Friends received Friday, 10 until 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 12th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home, 628 West Main Street, Kent, with Father Richard Pentello officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to U.S. LST Association (Navy), P.O. Box 167438, Oregon, OH 43616-7438.
