Warren Phillips

Warren Phillips was born April 17, 1916 in Roanoke, Va. and moved to Akron at age four. A decorated veteran of World War II, he spent four years in the Pacific with the 37th Division where he received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorcas; daughter, Becky (Raymond) Pitman; grandchildren, David (Melanie) Hull, and Tammy (Jason) Snyder; great-grandchildren, Breanna, Avery, and Burke; and sister, Gertrude Petrick.

Family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 E. Market Street, Akron). Military rites will be held Friday, April 26, 2013, 10:30 a.m., at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, Ohio).
