DOYLESTOWN -- William R. "Bill" Feesler, age 81, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013.
He was born in Seville on October 31, 1931 to the late Huet and Nina (Caskey) Feesler. He married Kathleen Steiner from Doylestown on June 28, 1952 and remained there the rest of his life. Katie preceded him in death on December 5, 1999. Bill served in the Army
during the Korean Conflict
and then worked 38 years on the B&O (now CSX) Railroad retiring in 1988. He also enjoyed part-time farming. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and the Doylestown American Legion Post #407.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by infant daughter, Pamela and son Jeff. He is survived by sons, John (Vicki) and Joe (Ruth) of New Franklin, Jerry (Shanna) and Jay (Fran) of Doylestown, and Jim of Norton; grandchildren, Randy, Tammi, Ben, Josh, Amanda, and Cassie; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Adkison, Rita Verhotz, and Trudy Steiner; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was the last surviving of 13 children born to his parents. He grew up in a very simple and practical way and maintained that to the end. He worked hard all of his life, often working side jobs to provide for his family. We will all miss being around Dad and Grandpa, especially the Sunday evening get-togethers at the house.
The family would like to thank Bill's friends over the years and the excellent care he received by VNS and Hospice at the end.
Per his wishes, a private service will be held. Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery with military honors. Memorials may be made to a charity of ones' choice. Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
