Joseph Klansek Obituary

Joseph William Klansek

Joseph William Klansek, 55, passed away peacefully on April 30th after a prolonged battle with Huntington's disease.

Joe was a life-long Akron resident and graduate of East High School. Additionally, he attended Mount Carmel Institute of Bible Studies where he earned a Bachelor of Theology degree.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dora Klansek; and sister Roberta Klansek. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Zreny of Baltimore, Maryland; brother, James Klansek of Cleveland; nephews, John Zreny of Akron, Brad and Melissa Zreny of Cleveland.

Joe's passion to share the Word of God was evident in his gentle and kind servant's heart and life. Throughout his illness, he firmly believed that his life was blessed regardless of his circumstances. His recipe for peace was taking one day at a time, always reminding us that God is good. Joe was thankful for his family and friends, especially his faith community of Beth Tikkun Messianic Fellowship, residents of Pressler Towers in Ellet, the staff at Copley Health Center and grateful for the dedicated and compassionate staff of the Hospice and Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital. Private graveside services only.

Joe was the maintenance worker at Crystal Clinic for a long time. He was a very kind hearted and helpful person. It was a sad day when he left. My condolences to the family. He was a wonderful person.

Joe worked at Little Forest from about 1978 to i wanna say about 1995. He also worked at Crystal Clinic. He was the reason i was hired for my first job at Little Forest ... which i still remember all the time .. We all went to church together for a very long time .. i say we, Kevin and Dori and Donna and Sandy and Robin and Jeff and Dennis and Rich and Mark . When i would visit my son in Akron sometimes i would pick him up to eat mexican with us .. I am remorseful that i didnt stay close to him since i left Akron... I hadnt talk to him in a while ... But i know that i will forever remember him and without him i can truthfully say i would not have ever given my life to Jesus .. I know that the LORD meant for us to meet each other ... i have no doubt about saying that ... I know i will miss him ..by his passing it has changed me... Timothy Hammonds
