Michael Kungle Obituary

Michael "Moke" Kungle III

Michael ``Moke" Kungle III, 62, died suddenly at his home in Houston, Texas, where he has resided for the last 30 years.

He was born and raised in Green, Ohio, graduating high school there in 1961.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike Jr. and Esther (Cover) Kungle. The family who remains will gather in celebration of his life --and he did celebrate! We are his family; Michael IV and Melanie Kungle, his children; Margaret (White) Kungle, his friend and former wife; Christine (Kungle) Snyder, Pamela, Deborah, and Regina Kungle, his "little" sisters; Thurm Wiley, his lifelong friend; and many other Kungle relatives and friends.

His intellect was great, his humor dry, his wit keen, the master of a good pun. He refused to let any crossword get the best of him. His love for family was great. Goodbye and good journey from all of us who loved you back . . .WALTZ ACROSS TEXAS!

Funeral service Saturday, 3 p.m., at the Hopkins Lawver UNIONTOWN Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St. Military rites will be conducted by the Mogadore VFW Post 8487. Cremation to follow the service. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 12 to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made payable to the family in care of the funeral home. Lots of memories of my friend Mike going back to 1976 & Poor Devils, Houston, Texas. I will never forget all the Backgammon and staying up to the wee hours rolling the dice. He was truly a genuine person and I was so fortunate to meet up with him when I first moved to Houston. I know all will miss him who knew him. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends. Love Michela

My deepest sympathies to Mike's family and his dearest friend Thurm. Where ever and when ever I ran into Mike we always had a good laugh and a bear hug. I'm blessed to have been able to say goodbye to him right before I left Houston. He will be remembered with a smile.

I will never forget Mike. He always had a smile and a joke. I was fortunate to have Mike in my life and to be his hairdresser for 21 years. We had some great times, didn't we Mike? I will miss you deeply, my friend.

I pray that the family will find strength and healing from the breath of God.

Dearest Debbie and Family,

I'm unsure as to whether I'll make it to the calling hours. In case I don't - please know that this morning, I prayed for the comfort of Christ to surround all of you today, and always.

***** "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." Revelation 21:4

Sent with the Love of Jesus,

Annette

Michael, Melanie, Margie, Christine, Debbie, Genie, and Pam:

You (and I) have our memories of a kind and gentle friend. Moke is gone but as we remember and think of him, he will continue to have a presence in our lives. Much like Esther is still with us today, Moke will remain with you in your thoughts and your heart.

Much love to you all in this difficult time.
