Harry Winkelman Obituary
Winkelman, Jr.
Harry "Bill" William Winkelman, Jr., 64, of Lamar County, and an Akron native, passed away Wednesday morning, June 23, 2004, at his residence.
Mr. Winkelman was born May 12, 1940, in Akron, Ohio, son of the late Harry W. Winkelman, Sr. and the late Marie Evelyn Krantz Winkelman. He was re tired from the Air Force after 28 years, and was a life member of the V.F.W. and a life member of the Non-Commissioned Officers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Mary A. Winkelman of Lamar County; son and daughter-in-law, Harold W. and Beth A. Winkelman of Elizabeth City, N.C.; daughter, Dawn A. Win kelman of Stockbridge; daughter and son-in-law, Donna M. and Paul M. Bassett of Newn an; sister, Peg Fast of Akron, Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Sr. and Chalice Winkelman of Sebring, Ohio, Robert and Nancy Winkelman of Middleburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Jessica N. Dingler, Bridgette M. Winkelman, Christopher M. Winkelman, Holly A. Steele and Hana N. Bassett.
Graveside funeral services will be Saturday, June 26, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Westwood Gardens, Rev. Gary Lewis officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Can cer Society (leukemia or lung cancer), 135-B Bradford Square, Fayetteville, Ga. 30215 in memory of Mr. Winkelman.
