I was lucky enough to spend my days with Diane and Ed from infancy to age 5 or so. I will always treasure the time I spent with "Daddy Ed" and the lunches he helped Diane(Nonnie) make for the many children she cared for. Hot dogs and macaroni was my favorite. :)

Thinking of you all and feeling grateful to have known such a wonderful man.

All my love,

I first met Ed at the United Way in the fall of 1983 when I first hired into the Red Cross. I had to help out with the campaign every fall. This was the crunch time and everything was crazy. Ed was always so kind and helpful. The last time I saw Ed was in 2003 when I retired from the Red Cross. Ed was still there helping with the janitorial services.

I hope that the United Way of Summit County realizes what a wonderful employee Ed was. He was a true gentleman.

Diane and Family,
I am saddened to hear of Ed's passing. I am truly blessed to have known and worked with Ed for the many years I was at the United Way of Summit County. Ed always maintained a positive attitude about life and work and he truly was a gentle man. I still recall the many stories he told of you and he preparing the house on weekends to welcome the children on Monday mornings. Missy and Shelly were truly the apples of Daddy's eye. God has another angel in His care today and forever.

Our hearts are broken to hear about Ed's passing. Ed was a great man, a true gentleman and those who had the pleasure of meeting him were truly blessed.
