Dear Rose & Family,
I was so saddened to hear the news about Pastor Kemp. Pastor Kemp was a good teacher of the Word of God and a very good pastor.
He was a gospel giant in the Word and I sat under his teachings for many years before his retirement. He will definitely be missed by me and my family.
May God give you strength, comfort and peace in the months, years and days ahead.

In 1981, Reverend Kemp spoke at the Baccalaureate for Buchtel High School's graduating class. His message centered on the notion that one of great blessings bestowed on mankind was not knowing what the future holds. He told us that not knowing means that each person has the ability to move ahead in a positive direction and with hope unburdened by knowledge of the barriers will arise. Reverend Kemp told those assembled that if we, for example, knew the exact day our deaths would occur, it would burden our thoughts and might lead to a feeling of hopelessness and despair.
I have not seen Reverend Kemp since that day. Nonetheless, he has stuck with me. I learned from him and, at times when things may not have been going as well as I would have liked, I would remember that I do not knowing what is going to happen, so I need to move ahead with hope and faith.
What a blessing it was for me to have crossed paths with Reverend Kemp.

To the Family of Rev. Arthur E. Kemp
We were saddened to hear of Rev. Kemp's passing. We carry nothing but wonderful memories of him and our last time of fellowship together. It was a special time for all of us and we are so thankful to God for allowing it to be. Rev. Kemp's smile, words of encouragement, and passion for music will certainly be missed.
While we know "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord", with his passing there is a loss or void from our everyday walk here on earth.
Our prayers are with Sis. Rose and the entire family as you face today and the days to come. Trust in God through this difficult time. He has not left you nor forgotten about you.
Know that we are praying for you and if we can be of further personal service, please do not hesitate to call upon us.
